In order for documents to have legal validity within the territory of the People's Republic of China, it is necessary to carry out a full consular legalization of them.
The consular legalization of documents for China involves a procedure, which provides for the legalization in the Ministry of Justice of Russia, the Russian Foreign Ministry and in PRC Embassy in Moscow.
Standard legalization of documents for China is carried out within 11-12 working days. The cost of this procedure amounts to 5,000 roubles per document.
Urgent legalization for the PRC takes 6-7 working days. In this case, the cost of the legalization amounts to 8,500 roubles per document.
The cost of standard and urgent legalization is indicated without taking account the price of a certified document translation and the consular fee from the PRC Embassy. The price of translation depends on the type of document: if you require the legalization of birth certificates or marriage certificate legalization, the cost of a certified translation is fixed at 900 roubles when translated into English, and 1,090 roubles when translated into Chinese. Nevertheless, if you need to perform the legalization of charter documents, the cost of translation will depend on the amount of text, and the exact price of a certified translation of such a document can be found out from our company's employees.
The consular fee of the Chinese Embassy depends on the type of document and the urgency of the legalization.
The consular fee for the legalization of personal documents (birth certificates, marriage certificates, police clearance certificates, diplomas, letters of individual attorney):
- 1,200 roubles (5 working days);
- 1,800 roubles (3 working days);
- 2,100 roubles (1 working day).
The consular fee for the legalization of commercial documents (charter documents, licenses, letters of attorney for legal entities, other commercial documents):
- 9,000 roubles (5 working days);
- 9,600 roubles (3 working days);
- 9,900 roubles (1 working day).
Past experience of document legalization for application in China
Commercial documents, such as licenses, product certificates, documents of legal entities for court processes in China and other similar documents, in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation, cannot be legalized by the Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Such documents shall be legalized in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation. The complication lies in the fact that, in contrast to the majority of embassies of other countries, the Chinese Embassy does not legalize documents, authenticated in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
